How do I measure my radiator?

Accepted Answer

Measure the width, height and depth at the widest points, including valves and pipes that stick out. Then add our recommended clearance: 2 inches to width, 1 inch to height, 1 inch to depth. Our 3-minute measuring guide walks through it with illustrations, and the configurator adds the clearance reminders as you type.

What exactly does the Perfect-Fit Guarantee cover?

If we build your cover to the measurements you submitted and it does not fit, we remake it free within 30 days of delivery. Send photos with a tape measure in frame and we start the remake. One remake per order. If the submitted measurements were wrong, we still help — you pay materials only.

How much is shipping and where do you ship?

Flat $49 to the 48 contiguous states. Covers ship flat-pack by ground freight or parcel depending on size. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii or internationally.

How hard is assembly?

Fifteen minutes with the included hex key. Four panels, pre-drilled holes, threaded inserts — no glue, no hardware store run. Every order ships with printed instructions and a link to a two-minute video.

Will a cover make my room colder?

Accepted Answer

Designed correctly, no. Our grilles are 55–70% open area and the covers stand off the radiator on all sides so convection keeps moving. Add the insulated heat-reflective top and you push heat into the room instead of into the wall and window. What does hurt heat is a sealed box with a decorative slot — we do not build those.

What are the covers made of?

Moisture-resistant MDF or birch plywood carcass depending on style, with powder-coated steel grilles. Everything is cut, drilled and finished in our shop in the USA.

Can I return a cover?

Accepted Answer

Made-to-measure items are non-refundable, because your dimensions do not fit anyone else's radiator. The exception is the Perfect-Fit Guarantee above, plus anything that arrives damaged or defective — we replace those, no debate.

Question 8

What are lead times?

We build and ship in 2–3 weeks. Custom color adds about 3 business days. You get a tracking number when it leaves the shop.

Question 9

Any advice on painting it myself?

Accepted Answer

Order the Primed finish. Scuff with 220-grit, wipe with a tack cloth, then two thin coats of a waterborne alkyd in satin. Skip cheap wall paint on the top surface — heat will make it tacky.
